This will be a really varied, fun, dynamic and unique role. Working at mobile game studio Neon Play with day to day working with CEO Oli Christie. No day will be the same and you’ll be working across a variety of mobile games in different genres - shooting, city builder, tapper, drawing, stickers, etc.
Here's our lovely studio...
You’ll need mobile games marketing experience across a variety of game launches and evidence of the marketing you did and how it worked.
You’ll need to be able to write press releases and have a contact list of journalists you know in the industry in both trade and consumer press.
You’ll need to have social media experience with Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and be able to plan a social media campaign with regular content.
You’ll need to be a bagful of creativity and ideas, so you can think a little bit differently and laterally. We do have marketing budgets but we like to approach marketing with partnerships and a unique angle where we can.
Your ideas will stretch to concepts for ads and video trailers, so can you storyboard a trailer?
If you’ve got Photoshop skills so you can create content for social media and web, then that would be a big bonus. And the ability to use After Effects or similar would be awesome.
We have a large ad inventory in our existing games, so you can use that to cross promote games, but an understanding of how mobile marketing works would help.
But also the ability to look at where we might buy advertising inventory too in order to drive installs, including soft launching in certain territories.
Can you write copy well for web content, so we can have up to date stories, behind the scenes interviews and sneak peaks at upcoming games. Writing with a fun tone of voice and a sense of humour
Also, we need to build up our email database, so experience there would be a big help. There are some fantastic staff perks at Neon Play, especially now we are part of a big group - Hachette UK. See more here.
All in all, it will be a fascinating role for a sparky individual who is prepared to muck in, be positive, be creative and multi-task with a talented group of game makers.
